lost in the archives: farewell to brokenness

I found this saved in my drafts today:

I loved you. This is true. I never said anything that I didn’t mean, and all the words that you thought I threw so casually out; they were never a lie. Only the action (‘casually’) was.

But now as I think of you and the author you loved so much, I have been reminded that it’s time to move on.

And I, I do not want to grow hard.
